Meet the Teachers
Hannah Shefsky
Hannah Shefsky is a local musician, music educator, and music therapist-in-training based in Somerville. She received her BA in Music from Tufts University in 2011, and went on to spend 4 years in Chicago as Lead Instructor and Program & Outreach Coordinator for Intonation Music, a nonprofit community music program. She returned to Boston in 2015 to pursue a Masters in Expressive Therapies - Music Therapy Specialization at Lesley University, and is currently completing a clinical internship at Tewksbury Hospital. In addition to her work with Be the Music at the Tufts Community Music Program, she also teaches private piano and guitar lessons and performs regularly on piano, guitar, voice, and harmonium in a wide range of musical settings.
The Tufts Community Music Program is a weekend program open to students of various ages in the surrounding communities. Sign up for next semester.
